Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Wilmington, NC

This was a nice hotel and everything was good. My flight back home was cancelled due to thunderstorms so booked this hotel in the middle of the night. The attendant was nice, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was excellent. Nice room to stay in when away from home. Close the the airport and food, shopping is in walking distance.

A good option for budget conscious travel

If you book at this hotel from a third party or website other than their commercial website, please be aware that they cancel your reservation as a no-show if you don't arrive by 2:30AM. This happened to me and others when we arrived on a delayed flight. I called the hotel and told them that the flight was delayed, but the claimed not to get my call (even though I showed them the call record). Once arriving they tried to charge 2.5x the cost that we paid online. It is a fraud and should be recognized as such!

Bed was comfortable. Front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. She arranged for a very early wake up call which was appreciated. Room furniture was worn. Hair dryer in bathroom was missing. Front desk clerk got us another one. Overall the room met our news, we had an early air flight and needed a place near airport.

The room was dirty and had a really funky smell. They definitely have a roach problem Saw a couple in our room. The parking lot was covered in broken car windows which made me uneasy to park/stay there overnight

I paid a lot of money for this hotel with the notion the kids would be able to swim. The pool was closed down and know one had the courtesy to tell us before hand. A call would have been nice. The hotel was dirty and the safety was bad. The side door was broken and people off the street could just walk in. There were cars being worked on in the parking lot.

First and foremost.....I should have read the reviews. Please need the warnings that this hotel is in disrepair. We decided to leave a day early due to the conditions of the property but were denied a refund for the last night due to it being after checkout time. That didn't matter in the long run, we were ready to go. I've tried to attach some photos of the condition of our room however the photo upload button will not work on here. Our hot water barely worked....the thermostat was in the first part of the room so it didn't adequately gauge the temperature for the second part. The windows had been replaced at some point and had a large crack in the top part which let in all parking lot sound and cold air. There are diffusers and air fresheners all over the hotel. Mold and dust around air vents. And to top it all off our door didn't lock at all. Please choose a different place.
