Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Thunder Bay

The property is a bit far from the city center. If you do not have a car, it can be difficult to navigate. Taxi services are not super reliable. I was waiting for a taxi to take me to the airport, normally a 10 minute drive away and I was waiting for 30 minutes. I liked that the property offered a continental breakfast (pancakes, bagels/toast, oatmeal, cereal, fruits, boiled eggs, yogurt) from 5am to 10am. If that doesnt float your boat then you have Tim Hortons across the parking lot. Montana's is also there for convenience. Confederation College is close by and Lakehead University is about a 10-15 minute walk down the street. Be careful of the walking directions because Google might have you walking on an expressway which has no side walks! One thing I didn't like is that even though you book your room at a certaij price, apparently the price changes EACH DAY. So beware. You might think you are getting a deal at $100 per night but that is ONLY the first night, the following night may go up or down. In my case the price went up significantly. The room was relatively clean- one bed had some unidentifiable spots and some hair on it but thankfully, there was another bed that was clean. I would rate this property over all a 3.5/5. More transparency on the price would be appreciated.

There is laundry at this property, it is convenient especially when travelling several rainy days. I have our wet clothings all dried up.

It would have been a great stay but for a 48hr period, a tour bus was parked in the hotel parking area and it’s diesel engine was running the entire time. So sleep was very difficult.

It is a very nice hotel. In the same parking lot as montanas and Tim Hortons. The pool and hot tub were very good

Have stayed here many times and always very happy with everything. This time we had a room with very dirty carpeting. Really obvious stains in multiple locations. We didn't want to change the room because we liked its location in the complex - not too far from the elevator and facing the back which has trees and quiet as opposed to the front which has the parking lot. When we mentioned it to the front desk the response was that the whole place is scheduled to be renovated. Although we wouldn't have switched rooms (as mentioned above) - the offer was never made by the front desk. I hope the renovations will have enough rooms completed by our next visit to have the opportunity to stay in a newly renovated room.

The price of the room is too high! And people need medical rates when booking through Expedia and handicap people that cannot walk 4 miles down a hall way to get to a room? They should have more closer rooms for this and even the handicapped parking isn’t enough!

This a great hotel with friendly and courteous staff. The room was clean and well turned out. The hotel shares parking space with other commercial establishments, traffic and parking can be difficult. look forward to my next stay at this hotel

Comfortable beds and pillows, easily accessible, easy parking, basic breakfast

Lovely quiet location, walking distance from 3 major restaurants and a Tim Hortons in the parking lot! Love they have given up on the wasteful plastic shampoo and comditioner containers.

This hotel is very convenient for travellers passing through on Highway 17/11. Quiet location with restaurants and fuel very close by. We always stay here when passing through.
