Overview

Hotel Consulado Inn receives mixed reviews. While some guests praise the amazing and helpful staff, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and the hotel's convenient transportation to the US consulate (at no extra cost), others express significant dissatisfaction. Negative feedback focuses on cleanliness issues, maintenance problems (broken fridge, non-functioning elevators), a lack of amenities (no laundry, closed bar), and safety concerns (dark parking lot, missing locks, unresponsive staff to noise complaints).

Staff were amazing! We arrived before check in and the hotel managed to get us a room! Super friendly and helpful staff! If you travel for immigration process, the hotel has transportation to the USA consulate and back at no extra cost! I actually booked again for middle of may. Many other hotel options but I stayed with consulado inn. Plus has a pool, free breakfast and wifi for hotel guests.

Super quite room. Very courteous and helpful in leading us to the room. Place could be cleaner but spacious, comfortable not crowded patio. Well spaced tables and chairs for private conversations. Plenty of parking.

They have an alter with pics of people missing in one of the stair cases. Only one elevator (out of 3) actually works. NO LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT even though the websites says they do have one. Claim they have a bar but it’s closed. They ask that you use the towels and bedding for more then two nights and more then half the doors are missing locks. The hallways are completely dark and forget about calling down to the desk if people in the next room are screaming cause they won’t do anything about it. Go somewhere else, will never go back here, only reason we stayed is because they were the only place with a room and was stuck there for a week. Also the taxi demand money $50MNX or pesos to go to the clinic or consulate even though it’s supposed to be a free service for guests.
