Holiday Inn Express Charleston-Kanawha City, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here twice in 7 days (on the way to and then on the way home from SC). Easy to get to. The lady at the desk both times was the same and she was wonderful. Upgraded our room so a family of 5 could sleep. We had a couple issues (while on our way home) - no towels, no TV remote - which this lady rectified immediately. Had an issue with the toilet (not the hotels fault) but she helped us out again. Much appreciated. Had a decent sleep before another long drive. Had a great breakfast and said bye to the lovely lady behind the desk which I hope was close the end of her shift. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone travelling and want a rest 1/2 way.

Holiday Inn Express is my go-to for travel. This one was exceptional in updated rooms & carpeting. The staff was terrific, the young man who helped us find the room we wanted was friendly and professional.

In a nutshell...don't stay here! Not only is the hotel gross, under construction with very limited parking, they cannot be trusted.

Not enough parking

The staff was very friendly and courteous. We had a handicap accessible room which had a walk/roll in shower for our disabled family member who was traveling with us. Rooms looked a bit worn, and beds were very uncomfortable--like sleeping on boards! Good selection of restaurants nearby though.
