Red Roof Inn Charleston - Kanawha City, WV

It was apparent they were way understaffed. The young lady on duty was doing everything, cleaning rooms, answering calls, checking people in and out. The property needs some repair, paint, bathroom upgrade etc... the parking lot and driveway need repair.

There was no sign to show which direction to go. The drive and parking lot need to be resurfaced. They need to get their tv service fixed.

Stayed one night, almost turned around and left when we first arrived... not a very good part of town!! All the parking was taken up by a tree removal company who must’ve been working close to there (we were told we could park wherever we found room, even in the grass). A lot of “shady stuff” going on outside, very easily made my wife feel uncomfortable. Got the key card to our room, found it and entered in...looked as if someone had been still staying there! Lights were on, bed was a mess, towels all over the floor, trash all over the table... had to get a 2nd room. Stayed inside the whole time. Wife said that there was a couple arriving outside of our door around 3am. Very glad to only have to stay one night.
