I had higher hopes for this hotel as we’ve stayed at several Courtyards before. Our room was not clean and they gave us 2 towels for a 4-night stay. There was no housekeeping service until checkout and the coffee shop in the lobby was closed the entire stay. It is VERY noisy, lots of road noise and thin walls, I could hear the conversations of all our neighbors. I give the area around the hotel a 3 because there are lots of restaurants and things to do and pretty close to the airport which is convenient but overall not a great stay.

My room was beautiful and comfortable. But at around 2:30am someone was given access to my room. Their key card opened my door. I was startled awake from the whole wall shaking. The latch prevented them from coming in. I was groggy from my late flight and didn’t fuss over it. A couple days later I still felt uncomfortable and called management to make them aware of the error. As a single female traveler, I didn’t like his response and I wasn’t really given an apology, only an excuse. I would never stay there again.

We booked a king bed room from the Hotels.com app while in the parking lot. When we went inside to check-in they informed us that “due to construction, we only have 2 queen beds available”. If I wanted 2 queen beds, I would have booked them. Doesn’t the app confirm with the location? Construction didn’t start with the 3 minutes it took to book and check-in. Any thoughts?

We certainly didn’t expect nor appreciate the plumbing water from the above rooms dripping onto our luggage and gifts that we purchased. In addition the lack of sound barrier used made for a very uncomfortable experience while having to listen to very heated argument in the the adjacent room. Upon check in we requested a room if possible that would allow for as much interrupted sleep. We were assured the room we were assigned would guarantee this as the property was not going to be very full that evening. This increased our frustration and we felt that we were led to believe that this property would be comfortable and allow us the rest we so desperately needed. We previously booked for two nights as our early morning flight wouldn’t be for another day and we looked forward to not having to move our luggage until leaving Sunday morning. Had we known this would be such an issue with the water damage to our belongings as well as such an uncomfortable stay, we would have decided to venture to a destination and explore Michigan a bit more. We would not recommend this property with its current condition and lack of discernible management regarding the use of this room in its current condition.
