Wyndham Garden Grand Rapids Airport

This place was not a good place it smelled very bad the blinds wore ripped and tore the bed smelled I could not stay there so within 15mins I checked out they didn’t give me money back for the first room but they did refund for the second night I don’t not recommend but if traveling on a budget than this might be it I booked through hotel.com and I will never again

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in near the airport in Grand Rapids. Because all flights were cancelled 7/19/24 due to IT issues, everyone needed a place to stay. The floors were dirty in the room. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom. The whole hotel had a very strange smell. Curry??? I would have left if I could have found another room somewhere else.

property felt under construction but didnt seem like any work was being done. power went out my second day and they refused to check me out or refund me. pool was a little murky and could use some ph balance. good location as far as restaurants and close to airport. but probably wont be back

It got the job done but very weird set up and long walk to elevator through building with no signage. Breakfast was lacking. The first room I was in had the safety door lock that didn’t line up so it couldn’t be used. I had to do the lo no walk back down to request a new room which they were hesitant to do. As a single female traveler this was really frustrating. The floors were a bit sticky and so I didn’t walk around barefoot in the room. It was during a heat wave and the air wasn’t on in either room I was in and the units were in rougher shape so the room barely chilled off while there.

Great place to stay and close to the airport the staff was friendly and helpful

First off, we were greeting by some wild driver in the parking lot. Then we walked in to a funky smelling hallway. The room had walls that had smudge marks and dead mosquitoes squashed into the wall… it’s February, so obviously the walls haven’t been cleaned in awhile. Oh, the toilet seat didn’t match the toilet… and it loud sounds all night. The other guests were quite loud. I would have left immediately if it was earlier, but I was too tired from a long day of travel.

Absolutely disappointed. Chose to stay at a hotel for the weekend due to a blizzard coming in. Chose this hotel since it has a pool. The pool area was pad locked so guests could not use the pool. Would be nice if they updated that on the website as multiple travelers had come to the hotel to swim. Some including myself had drove from an hour or more away. The rooms are in very run down condition and they didn't even provide a shower curtain. I spoke to a few other travelers who also had no shower curtain. Now we had personally stayed at this hotel a few years ago and the hotel conditions were much better. For sure will not be going back nor would I recommend the hotel to anyone

This is definitely a family owned place, lots of just patching up. I kid you not, the people that were there were either on drugs or looking for drugs. We heard three gun shots about 11pm on that saturday night. Overall, the room was pretty clean, like the bed made and sheets were clean. The sinks were clogged with hair and the sink AND the tub were backing up. a hair tie left so we know sweeping wasn't really done. This was a last minute stay, but I definitely wouldn't have my wife and kids solo there. The parking is in the back and its hidden. Outside was really unsafe and a LOT of activity going on.

The floors throughout the hotel were filthy. The hall carpets needed to be vacuumed. Room was adequately cleaned but had a strong smell of air freshener products, like there was something to be covered up. If you're looking for a place to stay close to airport, try somewhere else.

The room was actually good, it was the area around the hotel and leading to my room that left a lot to be desired. HUGE potholes in the parking lot, people loitering outside the back door, back door did not lock (anyone could gain entrance), elevator needed maintenance. The hotel was in a good location, so I was shocked that the property was not maintained well.
