We stayed at the hotel 10/5/2024-10/6/2024 during a road trip with our dog. We chose the hotel because it was close to the airport and it was listed as dog-friendly and had free parking. We were charged an extra fee for our dog, which was unexpected, but we can understand that. However, the hotel itself was under construction, and it showed. The air in the hallways was stale and reeked of weed, despite this being listed as non-smoking. The refrigerator in our room did not work, and a cabinet door was missing. We reported this information to the front desk staff, but our report was met with indifference. Our king sized bed was smaller than the other king sized bed that we stayed on during our trip as well. The coffee maker in the room leaked as well. On the plus side, we did feel safe, and the property has a dog park, so it is decidedly dog-friendly (for the fee). We did not take advantage of any other amenities, because we were simply looking for a safe place to sleep for the night. We rate this 2/5 because while we did feel safe, and the place is in a safe neighborhood, and we did like the dog park, the hotel staff did not feel helpful, and the room quality was substandard. Hopefully the renovations help the place improve.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway! Have stayed before. Beautiful hotel. Great location and atmosphere! Shuttle to and from the airport. Easy to Uber anywhere. Bed was so comfy. Huge family reunion the weekend we stayed. No issues and they were a fun crowd. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a convenient hotel to and from the airport as well for easy access to grab an Uber to hit up downtown and the sites. Very up to date. Food and live music in the hotel was wonderful as well. Thanks Hotel Preston.

1500 characters isn't enough to tell how horrible this experience was.Two elevators, but only one barely worked. And that one sounded like a death trap when you were on it. Everyone in the hotel had to use this one elevator, the wait was forever. The last day of our stay, I got on the elevator to go up to the sixth floor. The button would not light up and the doors would close and take me to the second floor. The doors would open and then shut, then take me back down to the lobby. I also did not like the fact that this hotel went ahead and took out $100 for incidentals from my card and it will not be refunded until 3-5 business days (longer actually because this week has the Fourth of July holiday). I was also not made aware of this when i checked in. I saw it as a charge on my bank app under the name of "The Independent" and had to ask the front desk when we were checking out. The rooms were tiny and very poorly lit. The bathrooms were a joke. Our door was half an inch away from hitting the toilet every time you opened the door. The shower pressure was non existent. The ice "machine" was a standing freezer with ice in it that anyone could reach in and grab. It felt very unsanitary. The parking lot is a joke. They're under construction so half the lot was taken up by equipment that wasn't being used our entire stay. The traffic to get to the hotel was atrocious. If you're staying in Nashville to go to downtown Nashville and Broadway, splurge and stay anywhere but Hotel Preston.

Check in is at 3PM and they made me wait until 3:30PM in the lobby. The fire alarm went on twice. The parking was full and had to park pretty far. If you’re planning to rest after a trip avoid !!

Definitely an older hotel, they just slapped some new paint on. Bathtub didn’t detain, Toilet didn’t flush, subpar on everything. Price way too high for a run down place. Also, the shuttle to the airport hours are very inconvenient and had to pay for an Uber.

They were in the middle of renovations so gave them the benefit of the doubt, there was a lack of electrical outlets and a hole in the wall from our room the room next door we blocked off with our suitcase that I hope are fixed with the renovation. The lobby was beautiful and the pool/game area was great. Breakfast was average staff was AMAZING! Only other issue we had is we ordered an Uber as we we were pulling out the shuttle driver decided to start driving we assumed they didn’t see us let them go and then they stopped in the middle of the road we stopped behind them and waited and then they started backing up and hit our Uber driver thankfully there was no damage and no one was hurt but it was just troubling that there was a lack of paying attention and it was the same shuttle driver that picked us up from the airport and forgot to shut the door where the luggage was and started driving.. I will probably be back I’d love to see the upgrades but I will probably avoid the shuttle it’s close enough to the airport an uber would be worth the piece of mind.

The hotel entrance/lobby and dining area are really nice. However, I traveled with a pet and was placed on the 2nd level. Maybe it’s their worst/oldest floor because it definitely shows it age and the room was extremely humid. I couldn’t figure it out and my room felt like I was in Cancun with the muggy humidity! The 2nd floor has a weird smell like old cheese and my bathroom ceiling looks like there was mold on it. I’d definitely avoid staying here in the future.

Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Location is great if you’re looking for just a place to stay. There isn’t much nearby other than the airport!
