Horrible experience. We got there and was told that they gave away our room coz they overbooked. Told us to go to a different hotel. We had a long flight and ended up in that situation, had to pay for uber to get there and then to another hotel that we had to book on the spot.

After flying for 2 hours and driving 5 hours, I arrived at this hotel at 8:PM. Only to see a sign on the office door which said they close at 7:00 PM. The sign also stated if you arrive after 7:00 to pick up a red phone mounted outside. I never heard of a hotel which closes the office at 7:00 PM. The man who answered the phone said he was the security guard but could check me in. When he greeted me and i gave him my name he said that they had a problem with their system and my reservation was deleted. And sorry but he couldn't help me, SO I was on my own. I made my reservation 4 weeks earlier and the security guard was not willing to even call a manager for me to talk to. Well this was graduation week at every university and Taylor Swift was in town so I could not find a single hotel with a room for 30 miles in Nashville. It was 9 PM by now. Expedia helped me find a hotel, but it was very run down and far away to drive to, I was told by someone that this happens frequently at this hotel so please stay away from HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof Nashville. I am a frequent travel for the last 25 years and have never experienced anything like this.

The first unit I was given keys to had squatters in it. I was more than understanding so I accepted a second room option. That room smelled of human waste, crack residue, and old cigarettes and everything that wasn't bolted down was missing or smashed. It was disgusting enough that I worried about a contact overdose. I phoned around until I got a different hotel (less than 30 minutes) and they refused to refund my stay after not touching anything. When I left the property I noticed a man chopping a car in the parking lot. No one should ever stay here. Ever.

I booked this studio for the convenience of the kitchette and traveling with kiddos. The guybat check in was nice. Went to the room on the 3rd floor, only for the door not to open. It was 9 degrees, so my kids and I went back to the car while my husband went back to the office to sort it out. Got a different room on the 3rd floor. Open the door and we were met with the foul stench, of what i can only describe as months old stale cigarette smoke. We left the door open to air it out. Supposedly, it's a non smoking facility and all of the rooms are supposed to be non smoking. The floors looked like they had been swept, but not moped. There were 2 towels/washcloths for a 4 person room and there wasn't a garbage bin in the room or in the outside common areas. The establishment itself and some of the tenants (look like they've lived there a while) were kind of sketchy. However, no one bothered us, so that was a plus. I don't think we'll be staying here again.

The room was exteremely dirty There was so many roaches I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life we ended up sleeping at the airport the last night just could not take it anymore. Expedia should be vetting these hotels before offering them. It was so disgusting it honestly ruined my entire trip.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever encountered! Should of spent more time reading reviews before I made this mistake. I left within an hour of checkin! Got an Uber back to the airport, rented a car and slept in a car!!!!

The woman that was supposed to give me a room because I was on a late flight denied me and told me I had no Reservation and then she had no rooms and then I should leave the property. This morning I find that I’m being charged for a room that she said I had no reservation for and never slept in I would truly like an explanation. I will probably never use Expedia again.

I admit I was remiss is checking reviews prior to booking- arrived in evening after a 10 hour drive for vacation. Upon arrival, it was in a bad part of town, homeless camp on corner, run down building, police and ambulance on site when I arrived, someone outside smoking… questionable substances. As a woman traveling alone I refused to stay. Immediately called mgr and was told bc book through app I had to contact them. Bottom line I paid for full hotel stay to avoid … bad things. Avoid this hotel. They were not helpful and not a safe area and not worth the 100 $ to stay a night.

Checked in and checked out within 4 hours (stay was supposed to be four nights), inasmuch as "checked out" is a thing when a hotel doesn't have an office or apparently any staff. There were rotting groceries in the room refrigerator when I checked in, a tissue with what appeared to be blood left in the drawer of what I guess you'd classify as "furniture," and there were what I hope were rust stains dripping down the walls all throughout the kitchen area. The bed was a cot with a mattress on it - i.e. not a bed. There were comings and goings, doors slamming all hours of the night, and loud cars cruising the parking lot at low speeds all hours as well. I cannot under any circumstances recommend staying here, nor do I think it's an establishment that Expedia can justify booking for.

I had originally planned two nights here but after only being able to sleep a couple of hours I decided to book elsewhere for the second night. I was constantly awoken by people loudly swearing and loud banging on my neighbours door. Also, at one point somebody screaming in the parking lot at about 4am. The room itself wasn't clean. The floor was sticky, there was dirt in the sheets, no soap and there was a dirty rag left on the floor. I was going to try to cancel my second night but the office didn't open until 11am and I was trying to leave before 7am. The people I spoke to at the office at check in were nice but I wouldn't recommend staying here at all if you value your sleep and want a clean room.
