Clarion Hotel New Orleans - Airport & Conference Center

Nice room and gym. Didnt use the pool. Wanted to use the airport shuttle but it only operated from 7AM to 11AM. Concierge helped me make a reservation with a cab service tgat was cheaper than Uber. Lovely, welcoming helpful staff. Room doors opening and closing were ckearly audible and woke me a few times.

When I checked in I was placed to go to 2022 and when I arrived at my room there were clothes in the closet, toiletries on the dresser and an open suit case. I was switched to another room after having to carry all my belongings back down. It appears someone has moved this person to that room and failed to place info in computer. This is very unsafe. Especially for a woman that was traveling alone. No one knows what could have happens but I do know the scenario could have gone many other ways b

Room smelled of old cigarettes. Shuttle to airport doesnt start until 7am but that was not disclosed in ad. The night shift was extremely LOUD talking to?? felt like it was outside my room and i left at 530am.

The shuttle driver mr gilbert was wonderful.

What can I say? It’s conveniently located to the airport. There is however, a delightful place next-door that serves well done Italian food. Not just pizza. Bed was OK but one side collapsed, so I could only lay on the other side. No free coffee? No coffee maker in the room?

We actually loved the hotel upon our arrival on Friday night, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the bar was even delicious! We traveled to New Orleans for the Essence Music Fest activities, so Saturday we went out and enjoyed our day and returned later that evening only to find out the elevator we needed to take to our fifth floor rooms was out of order!! They offered us rooms on the first floorwith double beds, but we would have to go up the stairs and collect our belongings and bring them back down the five flight of stairs, we were already tired from our long day and chose not to make the double trip on the stairs. We even canceled our evening plans to go back out due to having to travel the stairway. The next morning, we gathered our belongings and drug them down the five flight of stairs without any assistance until we made it to the checkout counter...tired and out of breath!!

Vanessa was the manager and she was great. When we first arrived it was due to a flight cancellation. We had to book for two nights. The receptionist was very rude and not helpful. The shuttle drove past us at the airport like he could not see us. We got to our room it was very dingy. In the bathroom was a dead bug splattered on the wall. There was a toilet leak in the bathroom. Asked for more towels and got a sigh and an eye roll. The TV would work for 10 mins then loose signal for a minute . They fixed it and it worked for a few hours then started doing the same thing . After a while you would get about 30 seconds of a show before it would go blank for 2-3 minutes. The bar is only open on Wednesday thru Saturday for limited hours. The hotel itself is very outdated and looks very dingy. The carpets need a deep clean as they are extremely dirty. Checking out was the smoothest process the entire trip.
