Extended Stay America Suites Santa Barbara Calle Real

I usually read other reviews about the hotel before booking, but Ihad to book ASAP & checked in late night. I’ve seen a car at the parking lot w window broken into. The key cards were not working properly ( it took some time to open)on side door entrance of property and need to take stairs to the 2nd floor to my room with my luggage s. The hallway lights so dimmed, carpets dirty, walls thin you can hear people from other room.! the first 30mins :, the fire alarm went off I complained to the manager the next day- another guest was cooking and triggered the alarm system the manager was aware. I asked how come no shampoo and conditioner in the room. She said you have to request it when you check in. Really?! I had to shorten my stay and leave early. Of course the staff messed up on the charges.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the airport. When i checked (and since there was no coffee maker in the rooms) i clearly asked if the lobby coffee maker would have coffee at 4:00am (our plane was to leave at 5:30am) in the morning. The check in person said maybe yes and maybe not????? Coffee was old and not even warm.

Nice place was ok. Nice especially since we were traveling with pet. In and out was conveniently across the street. Staff was friendly

I was comfortable considering I was a woman traveling alone who should not have been put on the first floor. Obviously the staff wasn't taught this. Maybe they assumed because of my age no one would bother me. Wash cloths/facecloths were grey color, supposed to be white. Light over stove didn't work and switch was greasy. Bed was way too soft, pillows good. Shower was the best ever, great water flow! Fan in bathroom would have been nice, maybe broken? Way overpriced, but that's Santa Barbara. Staff was friendly and very hospitable.

For an extended stay hotel their was no coffee maker, electrical outlets that did not work, no utensils or plates in the kitchen area, No one at the front counter FREQUENTLY, Bathroom door would not lock, No room service, no free wifi. The only thing good would be the parking. Never again.

Great location for an early flight out of Santa Barbara

The parking spots are tiny! The iron on our room didn't heat up and leaked water all over the place. When i went to the front desk, they had no idea what to do about it. After a phone call and confusion. I suggested to get one from a different room 🙄. Not sure why i needed to supply the answer, but i was sick of waiting. Front desk was really nice and apologetic, which was fine - but a plan really would have helped and a person that could think through some problem solving would have been nice. The second iron? Well it heated up fine and leaked water all over the item i was ironing. The room was worn out and beat up, which was disappointing for the price we paid.

Only good thing is convenience if you are passing by. Other than that, very disappointing. Check in was ok, reception desk personal was nice. Room was so noisy, could not sleep all night. Water sound was coming from somewhere all night, I called the front desk to complain but no luck, they could not do anything. Refrigerator kept running loud all night. There was no shampoo in the bathroom, breakfast is not real breakfast, few bars and cheap muffins. Overall, reserved a room to get some rest while driving/traveling, turned into a nightmare with no sleep at all. Will not stay here again for sure.

Very clean and safe. Not very many amenities and you have to get the suite silverware yourself. Property is in decent shape. Worth the price overall. Recommend to business travelers.

Closer to restaurants, easy access to the highway, closer to the airport....
