Hyatt Place Santa Barbara

I liked that the property was pet friendly and had free parking. It's a 10 minute drive to Arroyo Burro beach. Breakfast was great both days. However I found the entrance from the freeway to be really tight when arriving. I liked that there was a Mexican restaurant right next to the property. However, the pictures on the site make everything look much bigger. The outdoor area was smaller than I expected. I didn't like that I was able to hear when other guests were taking showers. Not the hotel's fault but there were some loud kids whose parents were not really considerate of others.

Quiet and easy parking

We have traveled extensively worldwide and think that this Hyatt Place offers the best value we have seen in years. Awesome breakfast, immaculate rooms, courteous staff and room was serviced every day (without having to beg). Post pandemic has been awful for clients of hotels - poor cleanliness and below par breakfasts and staff but not at this Hyatt Place. I can’t say enough compliments to express my delight with this property. All hotel chains should do as well as this property. We will definitely stay here in the future when in Santa Barbara. Keep up the stellar job!

Says pet friendly charges $75 but has no where for pets to go. Should be free. Also said parking free on the webpage and charged $9.50 at checkin

Friendly staff at front desk. On site parking ($10) fee for parking, not bad for area. Very modern room, large and comfortable room.

Great property. Unfortunately we were in room 110. Which is right by pool, restaurant, and such and was loud in room. For some reason sound really travelled into room from outside. I am sure any other room would have been much better.

Nice facility, clean and felt safe with parking deck under hotel and locked.

I enjoyed it but I was needed a pool when you travel with kid you need a pool to keep the busy

Maybe I’m just not used to the sticker shock of hotels in Santa Barbara, but this one was a huge letdown for me. While the staff was very friendly and helpful (including when they overcharged us for parking and my husband realized and asked them to fix it), the facility itself was SO loud. The traffic, the door locks, the walky-talkies the staff used, the patrons above us dropping things on the floor late at night. On top of that, the bathroom counter was so tiny there wasn’t enough room for my things to prep for the wedding my family was attending. The shower head made a high pitched noise (maybe because the tub part didn’t seal properly). The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable. There were so many things that just didn’t serve our basic needs that having to pay the high price we did felt like an insult.
