Days Inn by Wyndham Syracuse

Every time we went in or out we had to walk by smokers who congregate by the front door. Ironing board was broken. Juice dispenser broken. Breakfast selection was poor (2 kinds of bran cereals). Room was dirty…had to pull fridge out and it was disgusting. Looks like painting in room was done by a blind person. Breakfast area floor was sticky from syrup. Would not recommend mainly because we didn’t feel safe from all the people lurking in the parking lot and it is filthy.

Only liked the easy parking and the customer services but I won't be back...Looking for a nice clean hotel to stay in when I travel for business

Unfortunately this hotel is very dirty. Smells awful. Everything is old, including the “updated” rooms which were haphazardly painted by noticeable amateurs. I’m traveling across country and out of all the cheaper options I’ve stayed at, this was by far the worst. I’d recommend avoiding this place.

The hotel is dirty and swarming with shady people. I didn’t feel safe staying there with my kids. I reserved this hotel because we were traveling and passing through. I needed to do laundry and this hotel advertised they had laundry. When we asked where the laundry was we were told it was out of order. Not surprised by the look of the hotel. They have continental breakfast that I didn’t even bother trying because the place was filthy and I didn’t trust it. We did look though and there was very little to choose from anyway. This place is cheap and for good reason. The pictures they have posted are deceiving. Don’t waste your time!

Seems like the illegals that are housed reck the hotel for the travelling public

24hr Dennys and Dunkin donut next door. Plenty of parking. I checked in late & there was 24 hr attendant on duty. Contential breakfast but i was too comfortable to get up early for it. Only bad part was ice machine not working but there was frig in room. Would deffinetly stay there again if in area.

Absolutely disgusting, beear cans garbage in parking lot, scary. People hanging outside drinking and smoking. Not near airport at all. Couch in room covered in greasy stains, carpet also dirty and stained. When heater came on smelled musty and dusty. Lamp next to bed did not work. Filthy, unsafe.

Haven't needed to stay in a hotel for quite awhile now, but had reason to travel to Syracuse, NY and stayed at the Days Inn on Thompson Road. First off, it's not the worst place I've stayed at, but what the website showed vs what I experienced were a little different. The pictures are all bright and inviting. However, this place looks as old and run down as I feel on most days. The faux leather headboard looks like somebody had a wild night of sex and scratched/ripped it all up. The freezer portion of the mini fridge had some reddish colored frozen stuff inside. The chair castors didnt roll easily on the carpet (they were not locked) There is no phone or alarm clock in the room. On the positive side, the room was quiet, the AC worked, the room was clean (aside from the freezer), the breakfast was good. There was the standard fare (eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, toast, juice, coffee). One knock about the breakfast nook was the trash hadn't been emptied before the start of breakfast hours. I'm not a perfectionist, but why does management allow this run down condition to continue? The rugs in the 3rd floor hallway have many stains and is unraveling next to the elevator. The elevator fluorescent lights are missing the protective cover. I chose this hotel based on name recognition, past experience with the chain and location. Booked through Expedia (rated 3.5/5). While the rating was only slightly above average, I guess my "average" expects more, remembers the past.

About what I expected for the price. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and nice. Staff was helpful. Now for the issues: The walls of the elevator need to be washed. Stains on hallway carpets. Frequent smell of marijuana smoke. No ashtrays outside, so the parking lot was littered with cigarette butts. Breakfast on Sunday was better than expected, but on Monday the only food was waffles. On Sunday night, none of the television streaming services such as Netflix or Amazon Prime were available.

This was an emergency booking late at night after a flight delay. Hotel needs major cleanup and updating. Our room (224) had filthy carpets and furniture. Needed painting and bathroom fixture repair. Beds were clean and comfortable. Saving grace was the staff. They were wonderful.
