We were in town for a concert at the state fair. Check in & check out was easy. Only thing was the eggs were cold at breakfast & the parking garage had very tight spaces and didn’t flow very well.

Our travel plans were ruined and this hotel is the only one I will stay at in Des Moines but the suite with balcony that I always have was full for the weekend. The front desk employee made some changes and was able to give us a river view room. She went above and beyond when we had a very rough day at the airport. The location is PERFECT for the farmers market on Saturday morning, I cant wait for my next visit!

I always stay at this property when I am in Des Moines. I was disappointed as the key card system was down (not the hotel's fault), but this meat I was taken and let into my room and could not leave as I never had a key. I was travelling with a student and it made them feel awkward that were "stuck" in their room unless they left and left their door wide open.

Rooms were clean. Breakfast was average. Hotel staff was friendly. But I feel like the price was way out of line. Plus 15 dollars a day to use their parking ramp. Kidsvpeed in the pool so the only amenities we came for weren’t available to us as they closed the pool. Two night stay with parking was almost 600 dollars to not get to relax in the hot tub. Not worth that price point

Hotel was near the event. However, there was no shuttle service. Additionally, the pool and hot tub were closed for repair.

Beware of the $15 per day parking fee that was not mentioned anywhere till you check in. Also no heat in the hot tub. The water was shutoff for a couple hours one day, so we couldn’t flush the toilet or take a shower when we wanted too.

This may seem like a non issue for many, but this hotel had the absolute worst, tissue paper thin toilet paper i have ever seen . I stay in hotels probably a dozen times a year, and this was the worst. Otherwise the hotel was fine. I now have added a roll of my own TP in my travel bag, in case i have the.misfortune of a similar experience. It has to be oretty bad to think i have to pack my own.
